Describe your internship responsibilities:
I set up and ran sensory panels, gathered and filed vendor
documentation, performed recipe testing, ingredient library updates,
spice blending, blend matching and some QA testing. I was also
responsible for the grocery shopping and conducted some cooking and
baking application.
What did you enjoy most about this internship?
I really enjoyed the variety of tasks I was provided. I had the
opportunity to work in a lot of different departments which gave me a
greater overall picture of how the company works as a whole.
How has this experience impacted your future career plans?
This internship helped me figure out what aspects of the industry I want to focus on.
What resources did you utilize to obtain this internship?
I received an email from a professor in my department about the internship opportunity.
What advice would you offer to other students seeking similar
internships?
I strongly recommend attending The College of Agriculture and Life
Sciences Fall Career Fair and utilizing the Career Services Office.
Also, the ISU Career Management Service (ISU CMS) website is a great
way to search for internships and job opportunities.
